April Fools Day was here (4/1/2016)

Made to the ranch Friday, late afternoon, with some guests in tow.  Projects for the weekend were to pull the electrical out of the loft, wire in the bathroom, and build our new bed headboard/bookshelf.

We also had some company with us Sheralee’s daughter and her friend joined us for the weekend.  We really enjoyed the company and it was a good time for all of us.

Also on the drive in, we saw the Antelope trio again, although this time they were much closer to the road.

Of course they are only curious for a short while….and then boom…they are off.

Saturday morning we started in on our projects for the weekend.  Mine was to pull all of the electrical wiring, outlets, and switches out of the loft.

This was s small example of the mess I had.  I finally got it sorted out and put in our wall switches/outlets in the bathroom.  Using the 12v and 120v in the bathroom for lights, an outlet, and I installed a wall fan in the bathroom.

We are getting there.  We also purchased our future bathroom vanity and just placed it to get a look see.

You can also see the new and improved Loo, it is blue now. What a great color.  The floor in the bathroom will match the container/bedroom floor, a darker stain.  We will have a wall mirror in there.  The floor won’t be done until we place the shower pan.

The other major project we had going on was Sheralee building our new headboard/bookshelf that will be attached to our bedframe.  It is going to be very cool.  Saturday was spent sanding and staining the wood, shelves.  Then Sunday she assembled the entire structure.

It is just about done, but man it is cool.  It is going to be exactly what we wanted.  Once it is completely done, I will finish it off by running our 12v reading lights, and the 120v outlets we use to charge our ‘gadgets’! ha.  Can’t wait.

We also made plans on what projects are next.  I have two projects ahead of me, adding a material shed for our compost area.  This will collect rainwater into our compost water tank to use when doing the dooty there.  I am also slowly working on assembling a tool/storage shed closer to our  home, so we can clean out our new container and start the framing there.  Sheralee is going to finish up the book case, and help out with framing in our bedroom container.  This will really help our progress!  Exciting!

Until next time.
